Fine I will but let me just start by saying I have been attached to this book since Crystal started putting out teasers before it was released and then she shared a fan made trailer and I was like a little kid waiting for Christmas. The minute I started this book I was in love and I was amazed with what Crystal accomplished. The girl definitely does not disappoint and for that I want to kiss her face.

"You can't go into a relationship knowing the outcome. You're either going to love someone for the rest of your life or fall out of love."

Ok so where to start, this was a story about two dancers both in their first year at Juilliard. Although we meet several characters, and the book is written from several POV's, the main focus is on Natalia and Samson. Both share more than just the same professional goal and throughout the story we really find that out.

Dancing defined who I was. It was my own personal language, and between these walls, everyone was fluent.

We start off meeting Natalia and can I just say I felt for this girl from the first page. She is a true daddy's girl who had him taken away from her way to soon. Natalia's mother puts more than a lot of pressure on her. I loved that even with this pressure she had this love for ballet that you could feel. She was so determined to succeed. I loved that she was strong, she was funny and she was real. Yes, she made me cry, she made me mad and I think I fell in love her. Just when I thought she couldn't be topped Crystal adds Samson in her life and I think I lost my breath.

"From the moment I'd first laid my eyes on him, he was like a virus I couldn't seem to kick."

Samson, this boy gives a new meaning to HOT male dancer. Not joking I totally want to sign up to see the boy in tights. He was as broken as Natalia but Samson is that Preppy rich boy you assume was given everything. But as you get to know him you find this loving, caring, disciplined dancer who makes you rethink what you have thought about male dancers. The chemistry between him and Natalia is felt by everyone. They dance as one, and you can feel they belong together. But there is one problem, there is a girlfriend....

"I imagined Samson with Aubrey, lying on his bed, laughing. It hurt me to think of them together."

Aubrey, she is everything you hate in spoiled, bratty rich girls. We all know them they are played out in every movie we hate, we have seen them in real life. The grown women who throw temper tantrums when life doesn't do what they have planned. She is one of those characters I wanted to reach in the book and slap hard. I will say I give her props for fighting for her man even if she was maybe pushed to do it. There love is truly a story of a friendship that turned into first love, a love that grows in different directions and now has to learn to let go.

"As I walked toward Natalia, Kingsley came into view and all of my happiness evaporated. I was definitely going to be cock-blocked all night."

Oh Kingsley my favorite character of the series. She is abrasive and doesn't care what people think about her. She has a hidden past and she has a guard around her hiding her pain and loneliness. I love this girl and I so want more of her story and to see her get her HEA.

This book was everything I wanted, everything I expected and left me with a smile on my face!! It gave me everything I love drama, heartbreak, friendship, and of course passion. It left me wanting to watch Center Stage and wanting my own pair of red pointe shoes (Don't act like you don't want a pair.) I also might have placed Samson a little high on my Book boyfriend shelf. That's right he is now one of my boys and I would prefer if you didn't touch him to much but you can borrow and believe me you absolutely want to read this and borrow him for a couple nights from me!!

"How do you that?" I asked, out of breath.
"Do what? This?" Samson bent forward and kissed me again, more forceful this time. "Are you done yelling at me or do I need to kiss you some more?"

Ummmm I am thinking you could kiss me one time Samson that would only be fair.

In The Air is a story of Natalia and Samson who literally bump into each other on the side walk. Immediately she doesn't like him and of course he is fascinated by her. They come to be in the same class at Julliard and eventually Samson lets his ego deflate a little and Natalia falls.

Slight problem, Samson also happens to have someone else in his life - but without giving too much away, let's just say it's complicated. And when Natalia finds out she is devastated.

This book was quite an easy read but lacked a bit of the drama that i like in books to keep me on my toes. It terms of plot, it was pretty straightforward but i think if it was longer, the connection between the main characters would have felt more real. There just didn't seem like there was enough time for them to really fall for each other.

It was written from multiple POV's, not just the main characters of Samson and Natalia, but there were also chapters from other characters and that seemed very much out of place. I'm not a huge fan of changing POV's to begin with, but this was really confusing and didn't add anything to the story for me.

Overall, it was a nice read, but for me personally, it lacked the drama and connection between the characters, so fell a little short. I did enjoy that it was based on dancers which i haven't come across before, so kudos to the author for being very creative with the theme. And she obviously knows about her subject matter - either she is a dancer herself or did one hell of a job researching.

Samson
I really felt for Samson and his situation. Particularly with having his father being so unsupportive and downright discouraging when it came to Samson's dream - to be a dancer. And there were times i was a tiny bit sympathetic to his predicament with his longtime girlfriend, but he really needed to man up and tell her how he felt, he had many occasions to do so, but he didn't so he basically strung her along.

Natalia
She also had issues with a parent. The story begins with when she loses her father, and then we learn of her dance teacher mother who forced - for lack of a better word - Natalia into dance. Luckily, she did actually love it, but her mother's pressure really got to her. There wasn't enough feeling and emotion explained from Natalia with how she felt towards Samson so i struggled with her falling for him.
